After serving five years as a service dog at the Orlando International Airport, Gema has finally retired and colleagues are not letting her leave without having a fabulous time.
Gema has done an awesome job for the last five years that she’s been working at the airport. She excelled in assisting security personnel, sniffing bags and dealing with VIPs. Now that Gema has said goodbye to her work, she’ll be a forever dog to her handler, Eddie Nieves.
Gema’s retirement party was properly documented on Twitter on Sunday. Staff posted pictures of her fabulous party, in which she got to wear a sparkly tiara and enjoy her favorite treats. Not only did she spend the send-off with Eddie but with her “besties,” dogs she works with at the airport.
Gema is one lucky canine to have the love of her coworkers.

Of course, she got a special treat!
Taking it with much gusto! Go for it girl!
Gema even spent her party with her “besties.”
Gema surely had a wonderful time at the airport, but she will have a more awesome journey with Nieves around.
