A kind-hearted woman noticed a stray cat with two kittens outside her door, so she decided to let them in. However, the mother cat begged her to let her back out. Curious, she let the momma cat out and followed her, and that’s when she discovered something beautiful.

“Earlier this week a woman in Port Coquitlam spotted a mama and two kittens emerging from a carport,” Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association said.

“The kind Samaritan took the little family inside but the mama begged to be let back out. Once outside she went back to the carport and one by one brought out five more kittens!”

The smart cat wanted to go back outside so she can lead her rescuer to her injured baby. The woman realized that one of the kittens is injured and it needs to be treated as soon as possible.

The Good Samaritan quickly called VOKRA for help and makes sure the mother cat and her kittens get all the medical attention they need.

Thankfully, because of what she did, the big cat family of eight is now given the chance to get adopted. They are now in good hands at their foster home. The rescue organization will make sure they are healthy before they start looking for their forever home.

“Mom is very sweet and her mix of babies are likely no more than 4 weeks old.”

“Unfortunately one little guy has a very damaged back leg and is missing his foot,” VOKRA said. “The wound has been there for a while and is infected, but with some TLC he’ll hopefully be able to live a normal life.”

“He’s got the most amazing silver fur so he’s been lovingly dubbed Long John Silver!”

Although the adorable kitten’s back leg injury has never really completely recovered, that doesn’t slow him down.

All of them look adorable. They should be ready to get adopted soon.
