A kind lady was surprised to see a homeless cat on her doorstep meowing and begging for help. The poor kitty along with another cat could not stop meowing as they wait for the woman to give them some warmth for the night.

Meet the homeless cat, General!

The sweet kitty is said to have been abandoned by his previous owners.

“Poor General was thrown out by his previous owners. He and his relative Siamese Grant appeared at a feral outdoor colony in search of food. They were starving and not in the best of shape,” Here Kitty Kitty Rescue told Love Meow.

“They were begging to come into the lady’s house for warmth. You could tell that they have been indoors because they settled in quite nicely.”

After giving the cat some food, the woman quickly search for both cats’ owners; however, she could not find them, so she decided to call Here Kitty Kitty Rescue.

The rescue group immediately took booth kitties. According to them, despite his sad eyes, General is a happy and sweet cat who loves to sit on laps.

General and Grant were found together but both don’t really have a bonded relationship. However, the two cats have one thing in common; they craved attention from the volunteers and likes to be around humans.

This is Grant! He is adorable and he loves soft blankets.

The rescue organization has done a magnificent job to make sure the two cats get adopted before Christmas. They want the cats to be able to celebrate the occasion with their new loving family.

General’s story captured the attention of Laurie Gotshall, who immediately fell in love with the sweet kitty after seeing him for the first time. It was definitely love at first sight!

Laurie changed the cat’s name to General Patton. A year later, the former homeless cat is now healthy and having the best time of his life.

“The purple on his head that someone must have put there from a marker is gone. He loves his new home and has lots of room to run and tear around the house and up the stairs,” Laurie told Love Meow.

“He has a nice screened porch he has enjoyed this summer. He loves to watch the birds and squirrels. He has an older sister, Princess, who also was a rescue.”

“I’m so happy I adopted him! He’s such a sweet kitty,” Laurie said.

“His eyes aren’t sad looking any more!”

Grant is also living happily with his loving human parents.
