This cat may have the saddest face the world has known and his past will tell you why. A feline named Nutmeg is a 5-year-old stray that was taken to Lollypop Farm in September last year.

The poor kitty was in a bad condition – terribly thin and had a serious nasal infection that could have been fatal for him had he not been treated right away.

It seemed as if Nutmeg will have to spend the rest of his life as the saddest cat because nobody was ever interested in adopting him.

After being treated, Nutmeg spent some time in an administrative office before he was moved into a colony at the cat adoption center.

However, after nine months of waiting, Nutmeg finally found a new family who is willing to give him a furever home.

“For a while, it seemed as though Nutmeg might have been the saddest cat in the world. When he came to Lollypop Farm as a stray in September of 2016, this 5-year-old cat with a perpetually worried face was terribly thin and had a serious nasal infection. His ears were tattered, and his face bore the evidence of a difficult life. Nutmeg spent some time in an administrative office, then in a colony in our cat adoption center, and then in a foster home. Finally this past weekend, Nutmeg found his perfect family after waiting almost 9 months. Now, he’s the happiest cat in the world.”

Nutmeg is now the happiest cat in the world!
