Five adorable kittens found shivering sitting inside a garbage can were given another chance in life. The tiny baby cats were discovered by a sanitation worker who happened to collect the garbage in the area during that day.
“Our new arrivals, the Sesame Street kittens, spent two days piled on top of each other in the bottom of this trash can,” Tiny Kittens wrote.
“We are so grateful to our very own Handyman, of Anders & Co., who was on duty collecting trash, heard their little mews and knew exactly what to do.”
The kind-hearted man quickly took the five kittens to the Tiny Kittens rescue center in Langley, British Colombia. All of them were immediately given medical attention and provided food along with a good place to sleep in.
The cats were also given deworming shots, and shelter staff made sure that all babies will get unlimited TLC.
The frightened kittens were hesitant to open up at first, but when shelter staff started giving them cuddles and love, everything changed.
This kitty is just adorable!
“The Sesame Street kittens spent two days in the bottom of a trash can before a sanitation worker heard them crying and brought them to us.”
“They were soaked in their own filth, crawling with fleas, terrified, cold and hungry.”
“They are doing much better now, as you can see. All five will be spayed/neutered and adopted into loving homes as soon as they are big enough.”
Two years ago, these cats were found helpless inside a garbage can. Fast forward, they’re all living large.
Each of them has a story that ends happily.
It’s fortunate that there are still people out there who have the heart to help abandoned animals.
These cats are alive today because of them.
